SEPTEMBER 11 LET'S ROLL
59Flight 11 hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 AM.
Flight 175 hit the South Tower at 9:03 AM.
Flight 77 hit the Pentagon at 9:37 AM.
Flight 93 hit the ground in Pennsylvania at 10:03 AM.
The heroic passengers on Flight 93 saved the U.S. Capitol and everyone inside.
The hijacking of Flight 93 began at 9:28. By 9:30 the passengers knew of it and began making phone calls.
They learned that 2 other planes had been used as missiles and flown into the Twin Towers.
Then they learned that a third plane had crashed into the Pentagon.
Four barbarians had control of Flight 93, but the passengers refused to passively accept it.
Jeremy Glick told his wife the passengers had voted to make a rush at the hijackers in the cockpit.
Tom Burnett, Jr., told his wife, "Don't worry, we're going to do something".
At 9:57 the passengers began their assault on the cockpit when Todd Beamer shouted, "Let's roll!"
The barbarian piloting the plane began to roll it from left to right in order to knock the passengers off their feet. Then he pitched the plane back to front, nose down, nose up.
One of the barbarians was recorded screaming "Allah akbar!"
Forty good and brave Americans died that day when the muslim barbarian drove that plane deep into the field in Shanksville, PA, at 10:03 AM.
A mushroom cloud hung over the crater in the ground dig by the plane.
Those forty heroes saved hundreds if not thousands of lives that day - the people visiting and working in the Capitol building.
The passengers on the first 3 hijacked planes didn't realize their airliners had become weapons of mass destruction.
On Flight 93, the passengers did know it, and they did everything in their power to defeat the barbarians.
And they did. That plane did not reach its intended target.
Shouldn't the memorial in Shanksville reflect the honor and bravery of those passengers?
Instead, the memorial has been controversial for 5 years, ever since the design was chosen.
The title of the design was: Crescent of Embrace.
Tom Burnett, Sr., father of the Flight 93 passenger who told his wife, "Don't worry, we're going to do something", was on the fifteen-member jury charged with choosing the design.
He has written that he immediately saw that the design of 'Crescent of Embrace' contained many symbols of Islam, and voiced his opposition to it.
The design was chosen, 9 for, 6 against.
This is an outdoor memorial, set on many acres of pasture in Pennsylvania. There is the crater where the plane crashed and the burned remains of its passengers still mingle with the earth.
Imagine that crater as the star on an Islamic flag.
With a red crescent curving to the right of the star.
The memorial design is a crescent of red maple trees.
And there is also a 93 foot tall tower in the design, reminiscent of a minaret, with a crescent on the top.
Tom Burnett, Sr., has been protesting the design since it was chosen, to no avail.
The press refuses to report on the controversy. For 5 long years the press has ignored the issue.
Burnett hopes the Ground Zero mosque controversy as well as the presence of Michelle Obama and Laura Bush at this year's remembrance in Shanksville will bring this issue to the American people.
There will be protesters with signs meeting Michelle and Laura. Let's see if any reporters tell the story.
P.S. The National Park Service claims the designer of the memorial has modified the design to try to please the opponents. The main thing he did was change the name to 'Circle of Embrace'. It remains a red crescent.

From your description of the memorial, sheila, it appears that it is a tribute to Islam and the cowardly terrorists, not a memorial to the heroes who died on Flight 93. Something is terribly wrong here.
Oh boy... they always gotta spin stuff... why would anybody think Islamic symbolism is a good idea on such a monument?
I am at a loss for words. It is just beyond my realm of thinking as to how this could even be a issue. It should have been quashed from the get go!! Unbelievable! Thank you for your outspoken Hubs!!
Those American heroes on Flight 93 died representing the best traits of true Americans; best represented by an American flag, not a damned crescent.
Our prayers are with all of American
Blessings and Hugs to all
Sheila,
I was totally ignorant about this info. The media would NEVER say anything that could possibly be construed as anti-muslim, so the MSM will utter not a peep about this. I watch Fox nearly all the time though, and I am disappointed they have said nothing about this either.
I'm reminded again of a term I've heard twice now. "Stealth Jihad." We, as American people, cannot be so naive and ignorant to what's really going on in the world around us. The Japanese thought we were a complacent, sleeping dragon. And the radical Islamic terrorists think we are an ignorant, distracted people. We need not prove them right.
Holy crap! I knew nothing about this. Damn media. First it was lame, now they shouldn't even be allowed to use the term media to identify themselves. And where's Fox on this? Did you email it to Glenn Beck? I'm certainly not surprise by it but how on earth haven't more people heard about it? Great hub.
This is the first I have heard of this. I am horrified. Thumbs up for this important information.

Our media is one of our own worst enemies. America better wake up soon. Thank you for speaking out.
